a child, his love and talent for art was evident and while his father
was concerned for his ability for art, his mother encouraged his
talent. Afsary enrolled in art school at the age of 15. As
a teenager, he received commision for painting portraits, which served
Afsary holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees, one in Fine Arts and the
other in Interior Design. Mr. Afsary is also listed in "Who's Who in
American Art" and Who's Who in the West". In 1985, 1986 and 1987
he was an invited artist at Northwest Rendezvous of Art (NWR).

2002 Gilcrease Museum Rendezvous Show in Tulsa,
2002 his work featured in American Artist magazine as cover feature
2002 and 2002 Buffalo Bill Art Show in Cody, Wyoming
1999 Art of the West magazine

subsequent years he also judged that show on three occasions.
